God Is Good All The Time…all the time He is good.
Sometimes the path and sky can look inviting but then it gets dusty, the throat starts to feel a bit parched and the sun hides behind a cloud. What appeared to be so perfect turns out to be a bit much.
Walking the parenting path can feel much like this. Yet it is not an indication that the Lord has left us. He is right there with us, loving us and pointing the way.
We are living in uncertain times with many differing opinions of what is going on in our world.
This is unlike the uncertainty we feel when our child is making decisions that cause us pain, or decisions that make us fear for them.
Why? Us mothers are so wrapped up in that individual we call ours. Our children are our whole world.
Such uncertainty. So unsettled yet…
One thing remains and that is that…
God IS good
He is not only good, but all the time.
It’s when we forget and give in to despair that we lose sight of His goodness and darkness falls over us in place of light and hope.
God knows all about the troubles. He knows. We must be confident in Him.
Romans 8:28 says, “We know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
I read from My Utmost For His Highest, a devotional book by Oswald Chambers. The version of the book I use is the old style English.
One particular devotional from March 11 specifically said this..
“The only way to be obedient to the heavenly vision is to give our utmost for God’s highest, and this can only be done by continually and resolutely recalling the vision.”
“Though it tarry, wait for it.”
Oh yes, we are certainly women in waiting!
Further on it says…”It is essential to practice the walk of the feet in the light of the vision.”
You know what dear friend?
You are not alone. You are covered and cared for. You are loved and adored. You have someone greater than any turmoil or uncertainty that you can imagine. His name is Jesus, Father God, the Holy Spirit.
He, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you, for God’s people (Romans 8:28). When you don’t know what to pray or where to go with your burdens lay them down dear child of God. He wants to take them.
He wants to take them so much so that He even means our children. We must have Him be our whole world and release our children to Him.
May He bless you in the waiting.
There is joy, power and purpose for you. It is not meant that you should despair.
I’m praying for your journey,
